mes·ti·za (mês-të'zə)

n.    A woman of mixed racial ancestry, especially of mixed European and Native American ancestry.

[Spanish, feminine of mestizo; see mestizo.]

During the colonial period of the Philippines, the term "Mestizo" originally referred only to those of mixed Filipino and Spanish or Mexican ancestry. However, the term soon became generic and synonymous for "mixed race" and has been used to refer to all Filipinos of physically traceable mixed ancestry. *from thefreedictionary and wikipilipinas*

At last I've finished my start-up portfolio! Of course, it's still a work in progress since I am taking more pictures in the coming weeks (and am a bit of a perfectionist).

It's still driving me crazy how the pictures look pixelated online and not on my computer, but once I play around it with a bit I'm sure I'll learn the what image sizes are best for the brilliant gallery module.

Click the links below to what I have thus far!

Flora and Fauna - photographs of plants and animals

Children - pictures I've taken for parents

Parties - a sweet sixteen and a baby shower

Portraits - including singles, couples, and groups

Travels - places I've visited and photographed, including New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Orlando, and Michigan

Weddings - currently there are two weddings documented, one church ceremony and reception, and one civil ceremony in the park.
